Change Su Wei

   Several weeks ago, a basketball player became much more famous than before in China. His name is Su Wei. On 28th of March, eighteen thousand audience yelled out "change Su Wei" together, which lasted for nearly half of the match, in Beijing Five Trees Sports Stadium. What made him so famous? Because it was one of the seven CBA finals.
   This year, Beijing and Guangdong got into the final of CBA basketball tournament. Before this year, Guangdong had already won seven champions in the last nine years while Beijing got nothing. On the first final match, Beijing beat Guangdong. However, Beijing was fined for their fans using dirty words to abuse Guangdong. On 28th of March, it was the forth final match for those two teams, and Guangdong was the guest team. Before this match, Beijing took the lead by 2:1, which made this match much more important for Guangdong.
   During the match, the coach of Guangdong let Su Wei, the center of Guangdong, get on the court in order to control rebounds. However, Su Wei played badly and made lots of mistakes which benefited Beijing a lot. So, the coach used another player to substitute for Su Wei. Suddenly, some one started to yell out " Change Su Wei", which meant let Su Wei continue to play on the court, because Beijing could get lots of chances through Su Wei 's poor performance. To every one's surprise, all the audience who supported Beijing started to shout for "Change Su Wei". At that moment, many players seemed very embarrassed to the slogan, especially Su Wei himself.
   After the match, Su Wei just said that he would take an easy heart to this incident through his microblog. However, it was not the end of the farce. After one day, the same incident happened in the football match with the same content. What was more, the basketball fans of Guangdong and Beijing stuck into quarrels. Beijing fans claimed that it was just a kind of psychological tactics and a kind of cheering way without any harm.
   In my opinion, it is really a fun made by the fans. I do not think that the inner quality of Beijing basketball fans is low according to this incident. However, I still disagree with the content because it shows no respect to Su Wei. I think we should not overuse this kind of slogans again. Though it seems not harmful, we should not make fun of the players. Furthermore, the slogan reflects a serious phenomenon that our audience often scold the players who do not perform well in the matches. I think this kind of action is rude. We should give the players more freedom.
