Du Fu is very busy

Nowadays, Du Fu (a famous Chinese poet in Tang Dynasty) is very busy. He rode a motorcycle before switching to a white horse. He sells watermelons after he delivered bottled water. He appears frequently with different styles on the Internet. You may wonder how can an ancient become very busy now, but the answer is simple. Since it is common for students to make fun of altering the portraits in the textbooks, Du Fu cannot be an exception. In the beginning, such an altered portrait of Du Fu was put on micro blog, and since then, people follow to put their own altered portrait of Du Fu on the internet, which forms a fad.

However, many people, especially some experts started to criticize this fad and commented it as insults to the great poet. They emphasize that Du Fu is one of the few poets who dared to speak of the people at that time so his spirit is honorable. Ma Xinchao, head of The Poets' Association of Henan Province, said anyone who makes fun of Du Fu merely shows their illiteracy and superficial. People should show respect to Du Fu, but otherwise our culture cannot be fostered and enhanced, Ma added.

As for me, I quite agree with such views. No matter who the person is, it is evidently improper to alert his portrait. Imagine if it is your portrait being altered, will you feel happy? People all need others' respects, and it is an insult for a person to alter his portrait. Some of the online pictures make Du Fu ridiculous, such as making him wear feminine clothes. These pictures cannot be made by a student in his class, so they must be deliberate works. These people should feel ashamed about their behaviour.
