AC Milan Loss

AC Milan, my favorite soccer team, lost all the leads in the past week. They were defeated by Juventus at 2-3, being kicked out of Italian Cup—Not too bad, considering the Italian cup is not really important, I would say being out of it would give the team more time to focus on Segia A (the Italian Internal matches). In the Champion League, they lost the game against Barcelona at 1-3, which means this year their journey in Champion Leaguer is over. Okay, that is acceptable, considering Barcelona is one of the best two teams these years. But 2 days ago, they were unexpectedly defeated by Florentina, which are struggling to stay in Segia A this year, and now AC Milan lost the lead on the table--- since Juventus won the Sunday match, they now have one more point than Milan do. It’s a total disaster. I do admit such bad results had something to do with their bad luck--- Almost half of the squad have been injured, the team had to play 4 games within 8 days, and the referee was a little partial to Barcelona that night--- yet, as one of the most successful teams in Europe, bad luck shall never be the excuse. I do think there’s something wrong with the strategy of Allegeri, the coach. Among all soccer team coaches, Allegeri is one of the youngest--- he is a little over 40. Just like other young coaches, he dared to try new things, thus bringing revolutionary change to this team--- he transferred Pirlo, who used to be called “the brain of Milan”, to Juventus and built a completely new mid-field squad. The result of this revolution is good--- Last year, he set a new record in Italy--- He became the first coach who led his team to Championship in his first year coaching a team. This year, apparently, he is no longer satisfied with just one championship---even though he told the media he would only focus on Segia A. He sent all his best players to all of the 3 fields --- Champion League, Italian Cup and Segia A. The result is , these players failed to have enough rest to recover from the fierce and highly competitive matchs and they got injured--- for instance, Thiago Silva, the best defender in the team, got his leg seriously hurt before the game against Barcelona due to the heavy workload. Abate, another defender, got injured for the same reason.  It’s good to have ambition, but too much ambition makes people impractical, reckless, and way too risky. The cost of his ambition is that two of the three championships are beyond the reach, and in Segia A, Milan lost the initiatives. Juventus will not let such a good chance go. Fans can only wish for a championship now.
