Regional attack on the Internet

   In some main Chinese media websites like NetEase and Sina, we can make comments below the latest local and globe news. However, every time when I watch the comments made by other people, I often find that people quarrel with each other. 
   It is ridiculous that their quarrels are not about news but other things. For example, people will comment and argue with each other at the end of a football match. At first, they will argue with each other about which team is stronger or which player is better. Afterwards, everything becomes terrible that some people post extreme and offensive comments which lead to a large quarrel. They usually offend the people in other cities. This kind of comments are called regional attack. For instance, people in Guangdong say that Guangxi is very poor and people in Guangxi are thieves. Then people in Guangxi will fight back and say that people in Guangdong are stupid and shallow. With more people involved in this quarrel, more cities are involved into this stupid quarrel.
   In my opinion, regional attack is a very bad phenomenon. Usually, regional attack is caused by some individuals instead of some groups of people. It is hard for us to know why some people want to cause regional attack, but we can do something to improve the situation. For example, there are some wise people who are always criticising those people who cause regional attack and reminding people not to involve in such stupid and useless quarrel. Also, I think the editors who broadcast the news can delete the comments which contain regional attack.
   In all, I think it is common for people to argue about some affairs on the Internet, but not to quarrel with each other by using regional attack. We should respect other people and other cities. What is more, Internet is a public place. Therefore, people should be responsible for their words and keep away the useless quarrel.
