Once or all the time, I guess that everyone has thought of this
question: If I were a superman or superwoman, what would happen? What would I
do?
The answer can be so obvious. If I were a superwoman, I could become
a hero just like Spiderman or Batman, travelling through the whole world to
look for the inequity of the world and helping with building a world full of
fairness. I could pay attention to the hungry and homeless people to secure
their basic requirements of life, as well as consummate the system of
education, especially mental education. I could protect the world from wars and
natural disasters.
In fact, this is the answer given by one of my best friends. She
holds the view that the responsibility people should afford, is closely linked
to the ability they own. So she told me that if she were a superwoman, she
would set a good example for the public and do whatever she can to ensure
common people’s normal life.
As for me, however, I have to say that I seem to be too selfish; I
would rather do nothing and keep on living a peaceful and normal life as others.
One reason is that I always think no one has the right to decide and change
others’ destiny. Another reason is that … I am too lazy.
However, these are not the most important reason which makes me
determined. Living as a hero is not as easy as we used to regard it as,
especially living as such a superhero. Being too excellent sometimes means
being lonely, because you can hardly obtain comprehension and resonance from
someone else. As we all know, people always want to be in, so a person who
cannot find a group is so pitiful. Furthermore, a hero is always expected to do
the right things, which may need him to sacrifice himself, his family, his friends,
or even his lover. Can common people really understand a hero’s sadness and
helplessness?
From my heart, I sympathize with these heroes in their sacrifice. I
feel quite sorry, for their saving our world again and again, whiles few of
them get the honour they are deserved.
If I have to draw a conclusion, I hope I could be an average person
as long as I live. There will be heroes, and I would be glad to be an audience
clapping for them.
In my memory, Spiderman once said that more powerful one person is, more responsibilities he has to take on.
ReplyDeleteYes. This may be the "right" choice that we should make, but sometimes I just want to be a bit selfish... Ok, the point is that we should give these heroes the honour they deserve, rather than just enjoying the world protected by them.
DeleteI think being a superman is a wonderful thing, but things like saving the world are too arduous. So I will use my super power only for fun.
ReplyDeleteOnly for fun? All right, you are even more NB than me... Well, being an ordinary person is of enough fun for me^^
DeleteIf I can choose, I'd rather be a normal person and live my own peaceful and colorful life. Because I'm a little lazy too~^_^
ReplyDeleteSisters~^^
DeleteI like Batman very much. In my opinion. whether we have super abilities or not, we must take our own responsibility at least.
ReplyDeleteYes, I cannot agree more. No matter who we are, we can always do something to make this world better. Hope that tomorrow would be better~
DeleteYeah, even being a superman or superwoman,we still do not want to be a heroes who should take great responsibilities. And our not willing to be a hero or take responsibilities make me be more touched by those real heroes who do not have super power but still take great responsibilities. We should learn from them and whether we like or not, there are responsibilities that we have to take.We should be more mature.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the reason we are touched by these heroes is their high sense of responsibility which we common people do not have or do not want to have. We do need to learn from them.
